He will be, as appropriate, your tour guide, welcoming committee, program manager, counselor, advocate, critic, and friend. Jim screens new companies for admission to the program and is the principal counselor for new Member companies as they plan and execute their launches. Serving as manager, facilitator, coordinator, and support to the Director, Lindsey assures members receive the utmost benefit from the comprehensive VT KnowledgeWorks suite of program services. Whether she is coordinating educational meetings, synthesizing strategic planning assistance, or orchestrating public relation services, she demonstrates dedication to her first priority - VTKW Members. Her scope of responsibility also extends into financial management, program and publicity coordination, and office and building management. Prospective members can start the screening and admissions process by an Initial Concept Consultation and/or enrolling in Founders’ Readiness Retreat.

The VT Business/Techonolgy Center (BTC), a Center with in the Pamplin College of Business, assists emerging and evolving technology-based businesses and provides one-on-one consulting to entrepreneurs and businesses. All Business Technology Center projects are managed and directed by its Director, Dr. Richard Daugherty, who has degrees in civil and mechanical engineering and over 25 years experience in business strategy, new business and product development and competitive analysis.

Anne Giles Clelland writes the VT KnowledgeWorks blog - Inside VT KnowledgeWorks, and assists member companies gain publicity throughout the New River Valley and beyond. She has been widely publicized and is listed in A Directory of American Poets & Fiction Writers from Poets & Writers. She also has served as an instructor and Internet consultant for the University of South Florida.

Doug Juanarena is a serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience as a founder and CEO of successful technology businesses. He currently heads GenTek Ventures, a firm that assists technology companies with start-up and business development activities. In the past he has served as a research engineer for NASA at the Langley Research Center and was founder and CEO of Pressure Systems, Inc., KPSI and Luna Technologies.

The VT KnowledgeWorks Strategic Fellows Program provides senior strategic assistance to VT KnowledgeWorks Member companies at a critical phase of the start-up process, after the early stages of planning, but before the launch. Dr. Littlefield provides one-on-one professional assistance to emerging companies as they fine-tune their planned approaches to market opportunities. Prior to this, Dr. Littlefield has served as chairman of the Marketing Department at the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech for seven years and has been published broadly on numerous marketing topics. He also served on multiple editorial review boards.
