CVG’s LiveFire! ™

The Charlottesville Venture Group, better known as CVG, brings its signature event to Blacksburg. Started several years ago by this educational organization, LiveFire! ™ has become the "must see" entrepreneurial Reality Show where three currently investing managers of angel groups give 5 chosen companies the chance to go before them in front of an amphitheater of additional investors, educators, and entrepreneurs. Though strictly an educational event, LiveFire! ™ draws hundreds of investors from all over the Mid-Atlantic who like to quietly look for companies like scouts watch college football looking to recruit for the NFL!

These angel investing panelists will listen to the Power Point presentation and ask pointed, blunt questions to determine if any of the companies would be appropriate to go before their particular investing membership at a later date. No one's feelings are spared and no question is out of line. This is the reality of being "screened" by angel groups for the potential of presenting to their respective investors! All can be chosen or none. In addition, Richard D. Crawford, Managing Partner of the Virginia Active Angel Network, LLC , an active investor himself, as well as a visiting professor at Uva's Law School and Engineering Schools, will provide an educational pamphlet and periodic explanations on the lexicon used by angel groups throughout the event. if you aren't entirely familiar with the terms "pre-money valuation", "tranche", preferred stock or debt offerings, as well as angel "slang" such as "stickiness", "first-in-market play", and "exploding warrants", this event is for you!

Past Results!
Last year three of the presenters went on to present before several angel groups and received full funding for their projects! Two more are in due diligence.
