How to Get Involved: Advisory Opportunities

Each KnowledgeWorks Member has an informal Personal Advisory Group, a small group of business and legal professionals who provide regular support to management through monthly one-hour coffee and donuts sessions. Some people refer to their committee as the “kitchen cabinet”.

These mentors volunteer their time in one year increments, and serve only one Member company at any time, so their commitment is appropriately limited, both in intensity and duration. They have no legal connection to the company, and are not expected to engage actively in management, or to provide free consulting or other professional services that typically carry a fee. Their role is to ask good questions, offer encouragement, and provide informal counsel.

It is, on the other hand, understood that their regular presence as a participant in the KnowledgeWorks process may from time to time create opportunities for them to provide billable services to KnowledgeWorks Member companies, or to other tenants in the Corporate Research Center.

This program is currently sponsored by LeClair Ryan Flippin Densmore.

If you would like to serve as a volunteer advisor, please contact Jim Flowers.
